Emily Wilkinson
Clinical Psychologist
Hi, I'm Emily, a Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Wise Mind Psychology Clinic. I find joy in helping people work towards a rich and fulfilling life, despite any obstacles they may face. I have a particular interest in the perinatal period and parenting, and I support people who are thinking about starting a family, navigating fertility challenges, expecting a baby, or raising children of any age.
I’ve had the privilege of working with many individuals who have experienced major challenges. These changes can be overwhelming.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy, so I place a strong emphasis on connection, rapport and building trust. Our work together will be highly collaborative. In my work, I draw mostly on compassion-focused, strengths-based and attachment-focused approaches. Where relevant, I also assist clients to build parenting skills and parenting confidence, so that they can thrive in their family context.
Sarah van Ree
Psychologist, Board Approved Supervisor
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to be here. I'm Sarah, and I have been a Registered Psychologist since 2010. I've had the honour of holding space and sitting with parents, bearing witness to life's struggles, joys and mundanities. I hold this sacred space carefully, because opening up and being vulnerable is difficult.
I have experience working with people in the pre-conception, infertility, assisted reproduction, pregnancy loss and stillbirth stages. I also support people antenatally, as well as those experiencing birth trauma, the adjustment to parenting and changes in their relationships. People come to me for parenting support, and I draw on Attachment Theory and Circle of Security principles in this work. More broadly, I have extensive experience supporting people with perinatal depression and anxiety. I have been practising via telehealth since 2020.
